Hi, my name is Amanda, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy who has been living with chronic disease (SIBO, gastritis, gastroparesis, migraines and chronic pain) for over a decade. During that time, I tried many diet and exercise programs as well as, medications and other therapies with no significant change in symptoms.
In 2020, I had a migraine with seizure that left me bed bound. Consequently, I was unable to dress, shower, or walk independently. In addition to going blind intermittently and having stuttering speech. My neurologist said this was a progression of my migraines and “this was just the way it is.” As a result, he put me on multiple medications with little relief or options.
After 9 months of testing, medications and believing that western medicine would help me there was little to no improvement. Therefore, I started researching migraines, and idiopathic intercranial hypertension. This is when I found carnivore. I watched people changing their lives and I wanted that too.
I did about a month’s worth of research and jumped all in on Feb. 5th, 2022. I have now been a carnivore for 18 months. As a result, I no longer consider myself chronically ill. Furthermore, I believe nutrition is the first step in becoming healthy and living a full life.
I have personal experience with:
- binge eating
- idiopathic intercranial hypertension
- musculoskeletal injuries
- chronic severe diarrhea
- carb addiction
